Black Eyed Peas

  1. Hi Mónica:

I am writing to you because I want to speak for a small group who like the songs that everybody always remember, who like good music.
I know not everyone in our class enjoys the songs you play, because our tastes are different and there is always someone who doesn’t agree, and therefore, possibly the songs I am going to propose are not going to please most people.
I think, although they may not like it, it is better to play songs that we aren´t accustomed to hearing, because it´s more difficult to get bored of them, and because in my opinion these songs are infinitely better than many of the songs we listen to.

    I hope you like them:

    “With or without you” U2
“Every breath you take” The Police
    “Everybody hurts” R.E.M.

    See you.

  2. Hi Mónica and class!!
I don´t like the February´s song, i prefer the other songs taht my calss-mates propose in the blog. I propose Dire Straits, "Money for nothing" for February´s song, because I think that is a very good song with interestant lyrics who use ireony and make a critical opinion about the society. Also, If you can´t put "Money for Nothing", I propose "Sultans of swing". It´s a easy song to understand and it´s very popular. I prefer other Dires Straits song, but this two are the easiest and the shortest in my opinion. Enjoy it!!

  3. Hi Monica
I don´t really like "alive-black eyed peas", beacause all the time say the same, and it is very boring. I prefer: "Stay the night-james blunt", "David Guetta feat Rihanna - Who's That Chick" or "firework-Katy Perry".
They aren´t slow and the lyrics are very interesting.
    Best regards

  4. Hi Monica,

in general I agree with the previous comments. This song "alive" is a good song for trying to understand the lyrics without looking at the written text, but that´s all.

I like other kind of songs those which have special lyrics with deep meanings or those with special music with different changes in rythims.

I Know it is not easy to agree with a single song being 24 in class, but for next month I would like something different, perhaps "All I ever wanted".

    Bye by now.

    Macarena
